Swedish Massage

What is Swedish Massage?

The primary goal with a Swedish massage is to relax the body and mind while hydrating the skin and tissues. A combination of movements combine to create a relaxing hands-on experience. Movements are directed toward the heart, which enhances venous blood flow and helps your circulatory system.

A Swedish massage can massage the whole body, including the neck, arms, stomach, fronts and backs of legs, glutes, and back. It’s a great way to calm tissues and relax.

Why would I prefer a Swedish Massage?

Swedish Massage is the most basic modality of massage. Swedish is a lighter massage, typically involving mainly effleurage, or gliding movements. There can also be kneading, compression, and percussion, which can help relax the body. You might prefer a Swedish massage if you are searching for more relaxation or lighter treatments. A Deep Tissue Massage can be incorporated with your session, but if you’re focusing on relaxation and not so much on fixing a problematic area, you might want to try a standard Swedish massage.

Typically,  a full body Swedish massage will take about a minimum of an 60 minutes, but we do offer a 90 or 120 minutes for services as well. We cannot do a full body massage in less than 60 minutes.

It’s easy to incorporate almost any other modality during a session. Just be sure to talk to your Massage Therapist first.

Each of our massage therapists can give you an experience to remember.
